[Eichi is just. Lounging there in his sleeping robe, mostly because BARiTONES doesn't have casual clothing really and being nude in common areas is frowned upon.

He's under the weather and grumpy, so a visit is a welcome change of pace.]

[ So jealous of the units that get to feasibly wear sweatpants whenever they want... ]

Fufu, I would say good evening, except that with this darkness I don't know if it's evening or not!

[ Well, 1. he's very clearly not even a little scared and 2. just isn't bothering to look at the time on his phone as he floats himself over the edge of the balcony, corruption stew thermos in hand. ]

[Eichi does have a sweater and briefs from sensitiv that are comfy but probably less comfy than a big robe. Thank goodness his starter pajamas are this!

Also, Eichi... is scared. He's just hiding it under everything else, and it's easy to pretend any shivering is because of the illness he's suffering with. He probably looks pretty terrible- his eyes reddened, his nose running, and his skin pale. It's hard to tell if it's sickness or from crying. The secret is it's both!]

Mmh, it hardly matters much whether it is morning, noon, or night, right? The important part is that it is "good", if it is spent together.

[ Putting down the thermos, he's going to pick a seat and scoot it closer to him. ]

[Eichi will reach out to put a hand on Wataru whenever he is close enough.]

I did, yes. It was quite good... haha, and you saved some for later. Well, probably for the best, I'm in no position to fetch myself anything to eat.

[ He can choose between touching his shoulder, thigh, or knee. Unless he really wants to stick his hand on his ribs or something. He needs his hands for a moment, pouring some of the contents of his thermos into the lid-turned-cup, then holds it out to him. ]

How fortunate of a time for me to be utterly stricken with terror, then... ♪

[ He says as if he did not specifically come to make sure he was alright. ]

[What if he wants to stick his fingers in Wataru's ear, you ever think about that?

He doesn't though, and chooses Wataru's thigh, though he SUPPOSES he should use that hand to accept the lid-cup, so keeping contact with Wataru will have to wait.]

['Alright' is a relative term and relative to normal, Eichi is absolutely not alright, but relative to just after the game he's doing great!]

What do you think is happening out there, anyway. I mean, beyond the obvious- that we are being invaded by Hell creatures.

Well, it's certainly a performance. Whether it is to be one for the ages, a classic, a tale spun for years to come—we'll have to see.

At the moment, it looks as if a creature befitting some poor soul's nightmare has come forth.

Several of them, if my eyes are telling me the truth. Fufu, it seems like the power is still out down there as well, so it's hard to make out who is friend and who is foe from here~

[Eichi is being glib to avoid talking about how uncomfortable he is, but it's fairly obvious.]

I wish I could help... I'm just so useless. All I'm good for is making trouble and getting sick.

It will be hard to believe, but you are far from useless. It's just sometimes, the things you excel at and that people need you for are not visible to the naked eye. [ Indicating what is probably a kaijuu person in the distance. ] Things like this make those like us feel very small, hm?

[It does feel bad. It feels awful, sitting here sick and watching the world go on without him again.

But the world isn't going on without him. Tenn isn't even here, and Wataru is right here with him. They're all the world that he wants. Eichi sips at the stew, his eyes turning back to Wataru and a small smile graces his face.]

I want to be big though. I want to be bigger than everyone. I want... to be strong enough that I never have to feel like this again, and sometimes that feels impossible, but you always make me feel like even I can... create a miracle.

Ahaha, to me, you already have. [ ... anyway... ] It won't happen immediately, but you will certainly get big enough to reach the stars.

Ryuuby-san was the first dragon I've ever met, and now there's quite a large one out there! How amazing!

[ He's cupping both hands around his ears, listening in the direction of the dragon. ]

Hm, no, it seems it's rather uninterested in speaking at the moment. I'll have to acquire friendship with one another way. I'll work on my draconic interpretive dance in the meantime.

[ One of the buildings is probably crashing to the ground now. ]

This one is likely to be slain by those "heroes" out there, so you'll have time to practice before meeting another one. How happy they must be to finally get to fight a "monster".

[There is absolutely a sneer in his voice about that.]

[ He looks back at Eichi with a faint smile before looking back out at mess happening in front of them. It's weird how nostalgic it feels to have a conversation about heroes and monsters? ]

Oh, to be a valiant hero bathed in golden light, striking down the vile creature that opposes it... I wonder if such a thing is enjoyable after all. I cannot fathom a guess, as I have only been in the role of the monster.

Perhaps they will win, raising their heads to laugh as if the city is not burning around them. Or, they will lose, realising that glory is cut from the dirt beneath their feet.

Fufu, in a more complete answer... I can't really tell who's who, so I'm just imagining beautiful heroes...!

Having played both roles...

I have to say that I hate heroes, even now.

[He leans to the side in an attempt to put his head on Wataru's shoulder, his fingers twitching as he manages not to claw Wataru's thigh.]

Those who can laugh as they slay their monsters... how cruel they are.

[ Wataru is quiet for a moment, then leans his own head down against the top of Eichi's. ]

Even monsters have dreams that can come true, or be crushed underfoot. A battle to the death may be inevitable, but it's best to treat your opponent with respect, no?

That kind of laughter... it can spoil and rot such a moment from the inside.
