Re: boss fight day
Hmmm, it would be tough though. I wonder if it can speak.
Re: boss fight day
Hm, no, it seems it's rather uninterested in speaking at the moment. I'll have to acquire friendship with one another way. I'll work on my draconic interpretive dance in the meantime.
[ One of the buildings is probably crashing to the ground now. ]
Re: boss fight day
This one is likely to be slain by those "heroes" out there, so you'll have time to practice before meeting another one. How happy they must be to finally get to fight a "monster".
[There is absolutely a sneer in his voice about that.]
Re: boss fight day
Oh, to be a valiant hero bathed in golden light, striking down the vile creature that opposes it... I wonder if such a thing is enjoyable after all. I cannot fathom a guess, as I have only been in the role of the monster.
Perhaps they will win, raising their heads to laugh as if the city is not burning around them. Or, they will lose, realising that glory is cut from the dirt beneath their feet.
Fufu, in a more complete answer... I can't really tell who's who, so I'm just imagining beautiful heroes...!
Re: boss fight day
I have to say that I hate heroes, even now.
[He leans to the side in an attempt to put his head on Wataru's shoulder, his fingers twitching as he manages not to claw Wataru's thigh.]
Those who can laugh as they slay their monsters... how cruel they are.
Re: boss fight day
Even monsters have dreams that can come true, or be crushed underfoot. A battle to the death may be inevitable, but it's best to treat your opponent with respect, no?
That kind of laughter... it can spoil and rot such a moment from the inside.
Re: boss fight day
Mmmh. I wonder what kind of dreams the monsters out there have.
Re: boss fight day
Hm... I could wager a guess, if you'd like to hear it.
Re: boss fight day
[It doesn't really matter what Wataru says. He could say anything, and Eichi would just be happy to be hearing his voice.]
Re: boss fight day
Not that they will get a chance to rest here, but being in an unfamiliar place, far from those you spent your life with—I would imagine that for the past while, these monsters have been falling asleep at night with their thoughts drifting to those they left behind.
The underworld may not be the most beautiful place at times, but a sense of familiarity goes a long way.
[ That's just what Wataru dreams about, but as a 'monster' it's fine to say it. ]
Oh, but of course not all of them wish to go back. Some others may dream of the future, of what makes them happy. Or something like chasing their prey through a dark forest, finding their way to a tea party... nonsensical things, certainly they can happen in monster dreams as well? Oh, how I would like to ask!
Re: boss fight day
Mmmh, of course... Don't we all dream of home at times?
[He thinks about those he left behind all the time, especially Touri. How awful it must be for him there, after Eichi had passed away. He wishes he could let them know he was... well, not okay, but still around. He wasn't lost to the sands of time, though it might be a shock to see him now.]
What are your dreams like, Wataru?
Re: boss fight day
Well, that'd be a lie anyway. My dreams are usually what I want to see, whether it be things I miss from the past, or how I'd like the future to play out. It may be surprising, but sometimes they are quite mundane.
Re: boss fight day
[He is mostly teasing.]
Hm, I figured you would have some mundane dreams too. You know, I could just go in and see your dreams myself, right? Hahahah! That's something this unit of mine is capable of. Isn't that funny? Me, being able to see and shape the dreams of others......

He's leaning into it for a moment, opening his mouth—but then he remembers the poor boy is sick and leans back again. ]

Nothing is more romantic than a kiss like that... ♪
[ He might be blushing. Okay he's definitely blushing. Kissing while hell breaks loose around them is actually in the top three kiss situations, in his humble opinion. ]

Of course not! And it should be no other way!

The way you said that is far too cute, Eichi! What if I want a lovely, haunting nightmare to make my pulse race now?
[ masochism ]
...well, I could actually just do that myself, I suppose.

But I wouldn't invade your dreams unless you asked me to, either way. They can be intensely personal, and I don't want you to feel like you can't have your own space, even in your head.
...That said, I could do many interesting things with you in the space of your dreams....... If you ever had. A desire for something that's not feasible in our waking lives.
