-Death is possible! If you die in the Heart you don’t die for real, though. Combat is also possible, under certain circumstances...
-Characters still have their powers! At least for now!(It is possible to get them taken away if they act a fool)
-IC Goals(which will be on the characters’ phone, as well as told to them verbally) are:
Clean up the Theater and Living Room(Remove The Corrupting Influence)
Meet with The Emperor(Find The True Heart)
WARNINGS: possible suicidal ideation, possible assisted suicide, very light references to violence, references to isolation real or imagined, possible physical violence with swords idk what to tell you
As you come to, you see that you stand on the doorstep to a large palace. You’re also dressed up! The outfit is a little different for everyone, but it’s obvious- this is a maid outfit(or a butler outfit, if you want!), and you are standing in front of your next job.
Looking around, you can see the palace is floating in the air; with the ground below lit up by flickering lights that bounce off of the crystals that have overtaken what resembles the Tokyo-F you are familiar with at night. They seem to sway and jump about more like fireflies than lightbulbs, and they are too far below to really examine closely, but your goal lies ahead of you anyway. The Palace is also encased in gemstone- blues and purples and whites that seem to have some kind of ambient lighting from inside, just bright enough against the darkened sky to show where the seams are so that you may enter the wide, towering double doors looming before you.
---------------
The double doors open easily for you. Too easy, they’re far too large for your strength alone to move, but they move anyway, and you enter the entrance hall. It’s grandiose of course, all white marble interlaced with gold, with many various crystals jutting up from the ground, and one large crystal stalactite hanging from the ceiling, serving as a sort of chandelier. There is a staircase before you, right through the middle of the room, splitting into two ways at the landing. Most of the room is not navigable, due to the crystals jabbing into the air, but there is something that should draw your attention first:
On the landing stand two figures. They both are wearing jester costumes and masks but may be familiar to you; The one in the smiling mask has long hair, braided and tied in a ponytail, the color of moonlight, and the one in the frowning mask has his silvery-pink hair cut shorter, with it longer on his right.
“Welcome to our Illustrious Emperor’s Palace~☆” The smiling simulacrum says from behind his mask, though the sound isn’t muffled in the least.
“Don’t mess anything up, heathens”, The frowning one speaks up, also without muffling, though his tone is quite a bit more terse than Wataru’s was.
“Fufufu, what our friend here means is that we’re having a spot of trouble cleaning up, and that is why we’ve brought you here! We’ve managed to get this lovely foyer all cleaned up, but if His Majesty sees his theater or the common area…”
The pink-haired masked stranger finishes the thought. “Just do your job. You were hired for a reason. Go see the Emperor in his throne room once you are done.” There are three accessible doors in this room, two beneath the staircase and one on either side of the split stairs after the landing. A fourth door exists but the crystals cover it completely, and there seems to be no weak point in that mass. “You may get supplies in the broom closet under the stairs, to your left”, the blue-haired one speaks up, motioning with a hand in the… general direction of the door beneath the stairs. “It might help!”
Fufufu, what kind of Emperor cleans his own castle? Besides, you make such a cute little maid! Imagining you with a feather duster gets my heart all a-flutter~★
[ Well 'Hawk' is in this. And he can't believe he's being told to clean up someone else's house but here we are. But it seems this... is a trick of Tokyo-F maybe? He really doesn't understand but he should probably... do something. ]
I do not recall pledging myself to any king. But I am from the noble unit of avante en garde. If there is some sort of trouble, then it seems fitting that a knight would be called upon.
[The simulacrum of Tenn speaks back, hands on his hips.]
Pledging doesn't really matter to an Emperor. That's the nature of an empire, isn't it? Your country was conquered, and now you belong to our Most Illustrious Emperor.
[He sighs, then pointing down the stairs to his right(Hawk's left).]
The supply closet probably, unless you intend to use your dress to dust and your hands to scrub.
[Adorable! Wataru's blue-haired simulacrum is the one to address him.]
Oh, not much, just every day life and the passage of time! You know how it is... you forget to put a cup away, you undress for bed and let your clothes fall just once, and then as you go it builds up! Life has a way of getting messy, and sometimes you are just too busy to clean as you go!
[Crown is wearing... his maid outfit (though hair is long enough to be tied back in a cute ponytail) and he is... somehow both surprised and unsurprised]
[The pink-haired simulacrum of Tenn is the one who addresses Crown, hands on his hips.]
...... Isn't that what a maid is for? I guess if our Beloved Emperor were a more libertine person, there could be other things a maid is hired for, but as it is...
Welcome to the stage! Well, when you walk in here, you are backstage. It is a warm, comfortable place for the most part, despite the thick layer of dust that covers nearly everything. This room is oddly devoid of crystals, instead lit with the yellowing bulbs that surround a small mirror and the blinding overhead lights that flood the stage. The first thing you notice as you look from the side of the stage onto where the ‘performances’ must happen is that there are four mannequins on stage, nude and faceless, with wigs and heights that mark them as members of fine, Eichi’s unit from home.
You may only recognize the one depicting Eichi himself, who seems to be wearing a crown, and holding a sword, pointed out towards the curtains, and the audience beyond.
The curtains are currently drawn closed. Looking around, you can find a chest and just racks of costumes hidden from the stage, and a number of props. Everything here is clearly made to be safe and also just for show, so none of it is USEFUL in any way other than to set up a set, but it’s all here. There seems to be a set for a sort of comedy play, and a set for a drama.
[If the roomba were a living thing and not just a cute robot, it would be SO happy here, set on polished wooden boards laid evenly, and leaving a trail in the dust as it vacuums it up.]
[ IMMEDIATELY hops onto the stage and heads towards the mannequins ]
Ehhh~? He still won't show his face on stage, but he has the audacity to present himself like this? Isn't that in bad taste? [ leaning in to inspect the eichi mannequin, but especially the sword. is it just a prop? ]
The elevator dings as it opens up to a room that is a mix of a common area and living room resembling the BARiTONES dorm, all in deep reds with low lighting, with plush furniture and a small bar. There are various rooms for many different people with card readers that bar your entrance; a room for each member of BARiTONES, past and present, and nameplates also include the names of their ‘accessories’, but the most striking thing about this room is that every single piece of furniture bears a plastic covering such as one might see in an older home to preserve their cleanliness.
The bar is stocked with alcohol, though it is all just plain alcohol, and on the side of the bar there is a kiosk similar to the sort you might find to play games in any public bar with a hands on the front of it like a trash can’s. Opening it, you could not fit something the size of a person in there, but the bottom looks dark, as if it extends into a void, and the screen tells you that you can add dorm upgrades here, so long as you give up something for payment, without saying what it is that it requires for payment.
As it is a more lived-in space, it does look the part. Despite the plastic coverings, there are cups laying empty here and there, and a number of the chairs have clothing draped over the back or the arms. On the end tables near the chairs, there also are plates with silverware. Behind the bar is a small sink, if you wanted to wash any dishes!
In the back of the room is a door forward, standing no larger than any of the doors to the rooms but lined in gold.
[He can! Scanning his card lets him right in, just like getting into the BARiTONES dorm in the real world.
This room is not far off from the default BiT room, with a murphy bed and their standard bathroom upgrade. The BIG difference here is a row of iron bars which separates anyone entering from the rest of the room, the door of which is ajar. Beyond the bars lies what Eichi thinks Crown might own, which is not a whole lot, actually! There are juggling balls and a cracked porcelain tragedy mask on the floor beyond a bed that is more gray than red.]
Regardless of which door you passed through in order to get here, you have arrived in a hallway. This is similar to the BARiTONEs dorm once more, with wine-red walls and yellowed wall sconces lighting your way to what could be called the ‘throne room’, though it does not resemble anything like that. Instead, it is a small lounge, with a number of places for seating all around and a piano up on a small stage. How many stages does one need in their palace?
Eichi is seated at the piano, seeming to be warming up, or otherwise trying to write music himself from the way he stops and goes at random intervals, repeating some notes here, changing it up there before he notices you’ve come in.
“.....This is embarrassing. I wasn’t expecting to have an audience.” He honestly does not seem to have been expecting anyone, and fidgets a little in his seat, uncomfortably. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”

What's that? The mighty emperor can't keep his own castle clean, so he's forcing us to do it?

Do you have a recommendation on where to begin?

Okay, buddy. You and me, let's do this.

[ If anything. As for the sword. ]
Fufufu... if it is real, then it really only fits someone from avante en garde.
[ Still, his brows crease and he focuses on the mannequin holding it. ]
How can you tell who any of these people are supposed to be? Their hair, maybe? Are they people from within Tokyo-F?
