Sometimes it feels like there is a vast ocean between the Hibiki Wataru of yesterday and the one of today. And tomorrow, that distance will be wider. By now, there are dozens of oceans between this me and that me of Dance Macabre, and even more between that one and fine.

But then I talk to you just once and I feel like it's not quite like that. I am not casting off shells of myself to leave behind. Things that I love so much will be with me forever.

I feel that way too, sometimes. Especially now... The Eichi that danced and sang with the fine that crushed dreams is so far removed from where I have come now, and the Eichi who arrived into this Production isn't who I am today. There are times in my life I've felt such rage, such despair, such hatred and sorrow, and none of it sits on my breast today. I am lighter than a feather...

But those Eichi's of the past are not cast off, left discarded on the side of the read; they exist in my chest, next to my heart. I am capable still of those feelings, and those thoughts, but I have burned to ash and risen again, like a phoenix. And as I rise, those old selves of mine mix with the new selves, and I get ever closer to whoever Tenshouin Eichi truly is.

So today, I feel the most 'myself' I have ever felt! And tomorrow, I will feel more 'myself', and eventually maybe I will spiral around until I get to my core, perhaps.

And yes, I do feel better, too.

[ While Eichi has been responding, Wataru has been busy. His first response is just a video—he said he wanted to see and hear him so!!

It's still the same room, except the giant pile of various Watarus are now along the wall behind the real one, who is sitting on the floor, kneeling so that he's using the bed as a table of sorts. There's also probably a bunch of faint, muffled background noise coming from the rest of the dorm uhhh just ignore that.

He's got the cardboard water bottle in one hand and the cardboard rose in the other. He's obviously ripped the rose off of the first fake-Wataru because it's still got his cardboard fingers on it.

"Fufu, I was going to do this too, but you caught me too quickly~! So I will show you this trick I have been practicing. You shouldn't trust magic tricks on video, but I promise I haven't edited it in any way ♪

Seeeee? They are both cardboard. They certainly cannot merge and become one, even if they wanted to. Ahhh, what a tragic romance that would be... well, perhaps a bottle does not have feelings, but we will pretend that it does. Anyway! Such things cannot be stood for! If there is true love, your Hibiki Wataru must do his best to make sure that it is fulfilled, even though it may be doomed—"

Video-Wataru is tapping the fake-rose to the top of the fake-bottle as he talks, and then is crushing them both together like a pancake between both of his hands when he gets to "doomed".

"—but such things are so sad, really. Sometimes a story like this is meant to be unsatisfying, but perhaps not today..."

Video-Wataru is now opening his hands, to show that the smashed up cardboard is just gone. Completely. He looks around as if to see where it may have gone before clearing his throat; he sticks two fingers into his mouth, hums, and then pulls something out—and pulls. And pulls. It's a long, black cloth and it just keeps coming out? Eventually he's sighing as if this is annoying (dramatized, part of an act, and he's obvious about it) and yanks the rest of the cloth out, and then reaches back into his mouth and begins pulling something else out... revealing a piece of cardboard in the shape of a water bottle. It's kind of big to have just been in there comfortably??? Also... the rose is now inside of the bottle. It's also not wet or anything from saliva because Wataru doesn't DROOL ON MAGIC TRICKS!!!!!!!!

There's a pause and he's laughing a little bit. "Aaaah, but they are still not 'real' so did I truly grant all of their wishes...? Even for a water bottle, surely it would not be acceptable to stay like this..."

He flicks the back of the back of the fake-water-bottle-reunited-with-it's-lover-the-fake-rose three times and then snaps his fingers. It's now a real water bottle with a real black rose inside of it.

He's waving the cloth he pulled out once before cutting the video. It has silver writing on it that says "Hello ♪ Eichi ☆"

Listen it's all very basic magic tricks so don't you dare show anyone else Eichi!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, now he's responding properly. ]

Good. I am excited to meet each and every Eichi in the future ♪

[You fool. This is all Real Magic to Eichi. He's as enthralled as ever, as if Wataru were here in his room, weaving this tale of a rose and water bottle that so wish to be together.

The sad part about sending it as a video is that Wataru doesn't get to watch Eichi's face as he watches him closely, never hoping to dispel the magic but always wanting to see more of it. He doesn't get to see the fall of his expression when it seems the trick was over with a cardboard water bottle and rose, nor the childlike delight when the trick finished, or the tears well in his eyes a little at the simple message on the cloth.

It's not as good as what he was given, it never is with Wataru- Eichi simply can't measure up- but he sends back a video of himself smiling brightly and clapping.]
